No surprises here folks - this weekend's ice racing is a GO. Tom Prentice just told me he had to use a front end loader to move the snow - his pick-up just can't do it!
What are you waiting for? REGISTER now.
The entries are looking quite light, but we're going to stick with the Alternate B Schedule we've been using all along. I don't know why you wait until the last minutes to REGISTER, but do it today.
The year end ice racing meeting will be held at the Lion's Hall, 166 Bobcaygeon Road, Minden, Ontario. We will plan to start at 5 pm. If you cannot attend in person, please join us by VIDEO. (Please note, this is a new link for the video call - use this one, not the one I sent Tuesday). I plan on covering a lot of ground at this meeting - number of events, classes, cars on track, length of sessions, etc. Decisions are made by people that show up. Please plan to attend.
We are also looking for an Ice Racing Director. For various reasons, I have been "filling in" for the last three years, but we really need someone dedicated to advancing the sport. If you are interested in the position, please send me an E-MAIL before the meeting.
We also need people to train as Clerks and Stewards for Ice Racing. If you enjoy the sport, please help support it. We cannot keep relying on the same three or four people. It takes a team of volunteers to run a weekend. Join the team!
