The first weekend of the 2025 Ice Racing Series is done and a great time was had by all... The Street Cup was a bit light. Given all the chat about it the new group this fall, we were expecting a couple more cars - come on people. It is time to go racing!
This past Sunday, one car in the SS2 group was identified as possibly running on illegal tires. I know there has been some dialogue about this already in the paddock. The tires are being reviewed and if it is determined they were not eligible/permitted, the driver's results for the weekend will be deleted and everyone who finished behind them, will be advanced one position and be scored accordingly. I will keep you posted.
Now it is time to REGISTER for this weekend's races, hosted by BEMC. As I write this e-mail we only have 13 preregistered for Saturday and 11 for Sunday. Come on people - REGISTER today!
The weather forecast for this week looks good, there will be ice to race on.
As usual, the formal "GO - NO GO" announcement will be made around noon on Thursday. At that time, based on the preregistrations received, we will announce how many run groups we will be using and which schedule. If you want your class to run by itself then call/e-mail/text your fellow competitors and get them to register NOW. We don't charge your card until the "GO - NO GO" announcement, but we need you to sign up early to help us plan the weekend properly.
