Canadian Automobile Sports Club President Gunter Schmidt presented the 2020 Bob McCallum Scholarship recipient cheque to Connor Clubine at the CASC-OR Race weekend July 4/5.
The Bob McCallum scholarship was established in 2019 to provide financial assistance to first year Motorsport competitors, competing in the F1200, Toyo F1600 or Formula Libra CASC-OR Championship series.
This scholarship was made possible by a generous anonymous contribution to CASC-OR with the requirements to identify, encourage and foster new motorsport talent within Ontario, Canada and give financial assistance to the scholarship recipient.
The 2020 scholarship recipient 16 year old Conner Clubine from Brantford, Ontario has been karting since 2016 and achieved 15 podium finishes in 30 race weekends. He is a Grade 10 student enrolled in the Wilfrid Laurier University Program at the Brantford Collegiate Institute.
Congratulations Conner and good luck in your future motorsport careers.
Furthermore the Bob McCallum Scholarship made a sizable donation for COVID19 research to the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation.
